What is Herdict Web?
Herdict Web seeks to present a real-time picture of Web site accessibility and inaccessibility. By
crowdsourcing data from individuals around the world, Herdict Web allows you to see
what
is inaccessible,
where it's inaccessible, and for
how long. You can see
which countries have the most reports, and which Web sites are most often reported. You can track
inaccessibility by country, by keyword, across regions, and over time. Your contributions are what move the
herd.
What can I do for Herdict?
Herdict Web is the first collaborative, real-time map of Internet
accessibility, and it needs your input. You will soon be able to participate in three ways:
- Test
Web sites by using our Herdict Reporter.
- Download the browser plug-in and simply click a button
when you cannot access a site.
- Visit our Recently Reported lists to report on specific sites.
By participating, you can help us document inaccessibility around the world.
What can Herdict Web do for me?
There are many ways to explore Herdict Web:
- The country report shows you what's going on in a particular country. You can view a list of Web
sites, along with the number of times those sites have been reported inaccessible or accessible.
- The site report shows you where a particular Web site is inaccessible or accessible. You can view a
list of Web sites, along with data on where those sites are most often reported inaccessible, as well as
where those sites rank compared to other sites.
- The detailed report provides detailed data on
specific sites within specific countries. It offers information on how many times a site has been reported
from a particular country, as well as a time-comparison for inaccessibility of a site in a given
country.
