Description of Herdict
Herdict is a voluntary, participant-based software application run by the Berkman Center for Internet and Society ("BCIS") at Harvard Law School. Herdict is designed to gather information about PC health and web site accessibility for research purposes.
Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice
The
Berkman Center Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use our website services, including information provided when you download and use Herdict for PC Health ("PC Health"). In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are specific to PC Health.
Information Collection
You do not need to provide any personal information in order to download and use PC Health. If you choose to download or use PC Health, it will collect information about software and hardware on your computer and send it to BCIS. Some of this information may be personally identifiable. Because all collected information will be kept together, any personally identifiable information that is collected may enable identification of information that would not otherwise be personally identifiable. Use of Your Information
BCIS will use the collected information for research purposes. BCIS will not sell collected information to any third parties.

BCIS is committed to protecting the security of your information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Access to Your Information
You may review the personal information collected by PC Health by sending e-mail to info@herdict.org.
Disclosure
BCIS may disclose collected information if asked to do so by a law enforcement official as required or permitted by law or in response to a subpoena or other legal process.
Modification
BCIS may add additional terms to this Privacy Notice. All such additional terms are hereby incorporated by reference into this agreement.
